We are dealing with different budgets every day of the week....from somene who has €50 to spend on an item that will change the look of their existing dress completely (bold coloured handbags, chiffon shrugs, handmade jewellery) to Mothers of the Bride or Groom who want to look special on their child's big day whether they buy a dress and jacket around €200 or €600. 
We always advise people to buy what they are comfortable in....if you are not comfortable in the outfit in the boutique then you will probably not warm to it so do not panic buy!  If you buy an outfit that you love, then it really is not about the price as a loved dress is going to be priceless as every time you wear it, you will feel a million dollars....
It is not all about spending, one €500 outfit might look stunning on one customer and not suit another at all while the €150 dress looks amazing on the 2nd customer....at ENVY we are there to help and we really do believe in 'honesty is the best policy'.....the other day a more mature lady tried 2 different jackets, the 1st was approx €200 and very structured....she liked it but I did not think it suited her slim figure as there was no volume on her.....I asked her to try the 2nd coat which retails at €50, with a ruffle collar and wrap effect belt tie this added curves....she bought this one.....
FINALLY, THE POINT OF THIS LITTLE STORY.....WE WOULD RATHER SEE A CUSTOMER LEAVE WITH AN ITEM THAT SUITS THEM THAN SELL FOR THE SAKE OF IT......THAT IS WHAT ENVY IS KNOWN FOR..... HONESTY!

Ladies Day at the Races

It's getting to that time of year where ladies don their best outfits and accessories and head to the races to get another wear of that gorgeous look.

I think that ladies day is a great day out as those outfts that we all buy for your friend's wedding get to air themselves again....there is nothing better than heading off in all your regalia and feeling great...I love putting on my season's favourite dress, my good shoes, getting to feel like a woman and not only a Mummy (as much as I love being a Mum to 3 and Emir to 2, we both love feeling like us if only for a few hours).

Ladies Day lends itself to letting you wear your fantasy outfit.  That dress that you love whether it is the main part of your look or secondary to your headpiece and accessories....it's all about feeling good.  Headpieces in ENVY can change your look completely.  We have clutch bags, handbags, gloves, parasols, so many thing that can alter your image.....if only for a day.....the parasols are for hire so if you do not want to invest in one you can choose another for the next Ladies Day.

Go Nude....but in clothes!

From Lanvin to Fendi to Chloe, the designers are keeping their colour base neutral, focusing their collections on the lighter side of the colour spectrum.

This season when nude is mentioned everyone automatically thinks the peachy colour which is evident everywhere.  This can not be worn by everyone as our complexions are so different that it drains many of us.  But the palette of nude colours is so vast that there is one to suit everyone....it is just finding it.  Peaches, beiges, silver greys, creams, check which one makes your skin glow.

If the silver grey is too close to your skin tone, go with the muted peach, but please try it – trust me, you will be pleasantly surprised!


Pale works with pale.....full outfit of pales– but if in doubt, team it with a slick of vibrant red lipstick and an extra dusting of bronzer.


Nude “Romantic” Look


Spring’s nude shades lend themselves perfectly to a romantic look; think subdued shades of pink and beige combined perfectly with ruffles and lace. ENVY Boutique has the perfect mix to start building your romance infused look

 Metallic footwear is a good mix with these colours.


Nude “Simple” Look



Keep it looking clean with a relaxed white tee and loose beige linen tousers or vice versa....beige on top, white below.  Cut off 3/4 length trousers are nice and smart  yet allow you to show off nice naturally or fake-tanned (moi) legs.  Wedges and clogs are being chosen as the footwear of the season.  If you not in to wearing these stilts then little pumps are just as popular and even more so since the 'I will never wear flats' Victoria Beckham teamed them with a little smock dress recently.  Comfort is the name of the game for many, especially if you have children to run after (I have gone from 4 inch heels over the last few years to flats....trying to keep up with my 3 rascals) or chores to do.

 

Nude “Ecletic Rocker” Look


Nude can also work in a harder way for a more eclectic look. Layered nudes over pale colours teamed with dramatic make-up.
 Tunic tops are a fantastic transitional item between winter and spring. ENVY have a beautiful black and white stripe top/dress (depending on your height!) with stone coloured net overlay €60. Combine this with some casual linen or skinny white jeans for a funky look.

 Even if you add a little cardi like the one pictured available at ENVY, it adds the nude romantic look to your outfit.  Soft with detailing of chiffon rosettes gives a soft mix to the whole look.

If you’re still not convinced, stick to accessories.

Pearls in nude colours can even change an outfit as a neckpiece is the nearest thing to your face, chunky pearls are available at ENVY from €15.
